Padbol, a fusion of football, volleyball and squash

Padbol, a fusion of football, volleyball and squash

We tried something absolutely NEW in town (in the region actually!): padbol! Do you know what padbol is? We didn’t before yesterday and were extremely happy to find out!

Padbol is a sports discipline, a fusion of football, volleyball and padel tennis/ squash. It is typically played in doubles on an enclosed court with the scoring system the same as tennis and using a ball that is slightly smaller and lighter than a football.

Padbol, Emirates PadPro Sports Academy, Al Qouz, kids activities, summer camp, Dubai mumsCreated in 2008 in Argentina, padbol is now played in more than 30 countries. It was brought to our region and in the middle of our city, Al Quoz area, by Emirates PadPro Sports Academy. This complex is the world’s largest offering 7 padbol courts! And extremely friendly coaches to guide the kids (and the adults) into the game.

Our experience

We arrived at PadPro complex around 2.00pm with the intention of trying it out (without absolutely not knowing what to expect) for an hour or so. The children got so happy and into the game that we ended up staying 3 hours instead. It was hard to leave even after 3 hours.

Emirates PadPro coaches were all the time guiding and making the game very enjoyable for the kids.

There is a cafeteria inside with nice food options. We tried very tasty turkey and cheese croissants and fresh lemonade.

How to book and price

Emirates PadPro offers a padbol academy for the 6-17 years old, which takes place every weekday from 5.00-6.00pm, aiming for the kids to improve their football and team skills.Padbol, Emirates PadPro Sports Academy, Al Qouz, kids activities, summer camp, Dubai mums

The sports complex is operational from 7.00am to midnight.

There is a booking system where the padbol courts can be booked per hour. A court is booked for up to four people starting from Dh200 for a 60-minute game.

As the weather gets hotter, padbol is a nice indoor option for both adults and children and we are sure you will have an amazing experience there!

If you would wish to have fun, play a new sport or have a good workout session you won’t get disappointed!
